The $100 million guaranteed WPT World Online Championships are underway with the first Championship Events of the series completing their opening flights. There’s some massive value in the $3,200, $320, and $33 buy-in tournaments which see their Day 1B shuffle up and deal at 19:00 CET on July 19. Find out why below.

WPT #01 Omaha Hi-Lo Championship Day 1A Chip Counts

  • Buy-in: $3,200
  • Entrants: 63 (103 more players required)

Only eight players from 63 starters managed to make it through to Day 2 from the $3,200 WPT #01 Omaha Hi-Lo Championship Day 1A. Another 103 PLO8 grinders are needed on Day 1B to hit that chunky $500,000 guarantee.

Netherlands’ Koen Andri secured the Day 1A chip lead after amassing 1,303,175 chips by the time the curtain came down on proceedings. The Dutch star has two players hot on his heels who both finished with seven-figure stacks.

Russia’s Daniil Shlaev bagged up 1,174,409 chips while Ilari Tahkokallo of Finland finished on 1,043,574 chips.

These players will be armed with massive stacks going into Day 2 on July 20 but there’s still plenty of work required until they become a WPTWOC champion. This is because the likes of Niklas Astedt (976,869) and our very own Joao Simao (538,082) are also still in the hunt, plus whoever progresses from Day 1B on July 19.
